Next Events – Double-header weekend, Castlemaine, 2-3 July

A fantastic weekend of MTBO is in store for you at Castlemaine over the weekend of 2 and 3 July with several innovations being trialled.

The Vic MTBO Series #4 event, organised by Yarra Valley on Saturday afternoon on the "Old Quartz Hill" map will be our first trial of the new "Mass Start" format. The Mass Starts for each course will start at 1pm, so obviously you all need to be there ready to start by then. There will be a later start for those who can't make the first and for family members needing split starts. 

Bendigo Orienteers will be running the Vic MTBO Series #5 event on Sunday using the "Hills Ups & Downs" map at Castlemaine.

Both events over the weekend with be trialling the new SportIdent Air system where you don't have to put your SI stick into each control unit, you only have to pass it within 30cm of the control. Competitors will be issued with special Air compatible SI sticks for the day.
