Summer 75 MTBO #3 – Woodlands, Saturday 18 Feb
Monday, 13 February 2017
The 3rd event in the Summer 75 MTBO Series is on this Saturday, 18 Feb in Woodlands Historic Park, Greenvale.
Woodlands is a terrific location with many fun trails to explore on a summer evening. The map has been updated with the 2x4 track symbol system and some
newly mapped areas added. Keith Wade has put a lot of thought into the
course planning and is confident everyone will enjoy their ride. Map 1:20,000, 5m contours, 28cm x 30 cm.
Bring
your SportIdent stick if you have one, if not we have loan SI cards.
There will be loan map boards available too.
Location: Oaklands
Common on Oaklands Road, Greenvale. This is 400m South from the
junction of Oaklands and Somerton Rds on the Western boundary of
Woodlands Historic Park.
Directions: The
best approach for most people is to use the Tullamarine Freeway past
the airport, towards Sunbury. Turn right onto Oaklands Road and go
past the entrance to Woodlands Homestead. The assembly area will be on the right, but for safety reasons, we advise you continue
onto the junction of Oaklands & Somerton Roads go right around the roundabout and drive back down Oaklands Rd to the assembly area where you can just pull in on the left and park as directed.
Start
time: Mass
starts from 6pm.
Entries: Enter
on the day – register by 5.45pm. Fees:
Adults $12, Juniors $6.
Toilets: There
are no toilet facilities at the assembly area. Toilet facilities are available before the event at
the Woodlands Homestead off Oaklands Rd, and also at the Woodlands Park
main car park on Somerton Road. Gates to both of these will be closed
after 6pm.
The
BBQ will be in action with sausages, cheese toasties plus soft drinks on sale after the event. Contact: Rob Edmonds 0408 467 258
